We have a king.
Dutch authorities have decided to stick with a much-maligned song officially celebrating next week’s enthronement of King Willem-Alexander, insisting reactions have been “mainly positive”.
The committee organising the inauguration threw its support behind British-Dutch composer John Ewbank, who over the weekend said he was withdrawing the Koningslied (King’s Song) after a storm of public criticism.
Tens of thousands of people in the Netherlands have objected to an official King’s Song marking the 30 April investiture of Willem-Alexander.
The song, composed by Dutch-British producer John Ewbank and performed by 51 Dutch artists, was released on Friday morning.
By Saturday, an online petition entitled No to the King’s Song had attracted 37,000 signatures.
Mr Ewbank has now withdrawn it as the official anthem.

Dutch presenter and model Nikkie Plessen has (or had) her own clothing line. On tuesday she presented her line, but Dutch fora soon caught wind of her copy and paste style.
Dutch fashion design duo Quice and Zoe Karssen said that they are going to press charges against Plessen who alledgedy copied two of their designs. See for yourself.

It’s official. Queen Beatrix of The Netherlands is going to step down from the throne on April 30th. As of that day The Netherlands will have a king, Willem-Alexander.
So, a newsreporter has it from hearsay that Queen Beatrix is indeed going to abdicate tonight.
Tonight at 7PM (That’s two hours from now) Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands is going to address the nation on national radio and television.
Everyone in the country is guessing about what it could be. People are saying that it would be about her abdication.
Let’s wait and see….
